About
Beäm Abris is a nomadic swedish artist and writer with an education in classical art and archaeology at the Universities of Stockholm/Umeå/Uppsala. She tells stories about earth that spans over time and space primarily as land- or cityscapes in oils and prints of ancient woods. Birds, trees and used surfaces are recurring subject matters often placed in abstract or semi surreal environments.
“What I do is foremost a celebration to the trees. Our ancestors were born in them and humanity developed under them. They are the ultimate carrier of time and yet has the feel of timelessness. I think it is important to ground ourselves in that.”
